Permanent Magnet AC Motor with CU250s

Andrés_Ariza Experienced Member Joined: 9/3/2014 Last visit: 2/13/2025 Posts: 79 Rating: (4)	Dear Experts, I have a Permanent Magnet AC Motor from ATB, about the motor: Voltage: 200 IN: 13,3 A nN: 3000RPM MN: 7,6 Nm I have a CU250S and a Power Module PM240-2, I would like know if can I control the synchronous motor with this configuration, I've found a dipswitch in the Control Unit that has 2 positions, (Vector and Servo), so I've put it in Servo, When I try to move the synchronous motor the fault F7969 (Pole position identification incorrect) shows in the BOP I'm sure all parameters are ok, except for the frecuency parameter, because this information doesn't appear in the motor's plate. Please, I will be grateful if you can help me, Thanks in advance, Best regards,

Chapter 4.5.1 Overview of the interfaces on the front and upper side ⑤ Keep the switch in the "Vector" position. The inverter is not functional in the "Servo" setting.

Technology Team Platinum Expert Joined: 10/11/2006 Last visit: 1/21/2026 Posts: 6072 Rating: (828)	Hello, for permanent synchronous motors with encoder you can use the S110 CU305 in combination with 1AC 200V PM240-2 or 3AC 400V PM240-2. In case of a permanent synchronous motor in sensorless operation the CU310-2 which could operate with PM240-2 too is the right choice.
