Hello everyone.

I got a small task of getting some production data from the PLCs, we selected the cheapest way we have to do it, which is use a lap top, connect it to the PLC and with an application of Wincc to gather the data via VB script.

My question is, how many MPI/ Profibus connections can a single HMI support,in case that we require to gather data from other machines.

Thanks a lot for the document, its really helpful. So it says 8 connections for wincc runtime. I'm running the application in a lap top, using a PC adapter usb A2 to go online through MPI. It can support then 8 connections on MPI or is there some restriction to this slow network?
