Is this a working installation that has recently failed, or a new installation that you cannot get to work?

What is the DCS you are using to control the drive?

How are you commanding the local/remote changeover on the drive, and how are you communicating between the DCS and the remote drive control?

hello Daniel,

we have 4 drive

we recieve trip A/D hardware fault during rest of this fault the DCS operator lost all data in remote control,but on the drive we don't have any alarm or message and also work on local mode normally.

the communication is via modbus and DCS systém is youkogawa.

is the communication board are failled or what?

thanks for your help,but we need to change this card by new one?if we swap by the other one who is working we will keep the 4 DRIVE WORKING.my question is we can run drive via DCS without this card?

 Hello Yassine;

In my experience, each drive requires a working comm card to communicate with the process controller , whether a PLC or a DCS.

I believe Will was suggesting you swap the failing comm card for one that you know is working (from another of your drives) just to see if the failed slave starts working again with a working card (make sure the comm card you take from a working drive is adapted correctly to the failed drive). That would confirm the comm card is the source of failure and needs to be replaced.

the communication between drive and keypad it's ok via RS-232 but between drive and DCS no communication via RS 485.is there something to check?
