Hi Every One,

I have worked on S7 PLCs many times and now i have to upload program from S5 PLC. i have 

S5 CPUs Numbers: Simatic S5 6ES5941-7UA12., Simantic S5 6ES5942-7UA12.

I dont know programming cable of S5 used for Upload and download.

S7 PLCs has MPI protocol which standard protocol does S5 has??

Hello,

the interface standard for S5 is TTY with protocol AS511.
You have a CPU 941 and 942, they have a interface for programming at the front of the CPU.

The most problem is the interface at the PC.
the "best" solution is a adapter-cable S5 - USB e.g. like this from Helmholz
