Hello Ahmed; Just for clarification on your part: which version of WinCC are we talking about? WinCC v7.x, WinCC Professional or Advanced Runtime (TIA Portal), WinCC Flexible Runtime? This is an interesting page from ABB's support forum; you should find enough hints to help you out: https://forum-controlsystems.abb.com/10317/AC800M-WinCC-HMI They suggest 3 connections: OPC, Profibus (Using CI854A), and Modbus TCP. The original poster states (wrongly, in my opinion, that WinCC supports Profibus only with Siemens PLCs, and Modbus TCP only with Modicon PLCs I have connected WinCC v7.x with various PLCs from different manufacturers in the past. But of course you will have to create your tags by hand in WinCC. So basically they recommend OPC as a main connexion. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Dear dchartier, Thanks a lot for your replying, i read that. I want to migrate it to WINCC 7.x, also my suggestion that i will keep the ABB 800XA SCADA as it it's to avoid any problems, And i want to create the new project by WINCC in another PC with profibus communication, My question how to make my project communicate parallel with the old one ABB 800XA? Another thing to create tags manually for all plant is big task it will tak more time? Is there any way to export to .csv file or anything. Many thanks |
