STANDARD PID BLOCK/TOOL

DUTTA Posts: 102 Rating: (1)	Dear Experts, I am using standard PID blocks in my one project. I have confiured 13 PID loops and also cofigured the LOOP_SCHEDUL DB (DB65) as well as FC 2. But some how none of my PID loops are being enable. As per my understanding if I configure the DB as per the manual instruction. the loop activator set the bits through which every PID blocks enables. Also having confusion about CYCLE time. Is Loop schedule FC calculates the CYCLE time of each loop or I have to calculate it? Please, keep in mind that PID block FB 41 needs to be in cyclic OB such as OB35, otherwise time constants of integral and derivative part won't worth much. You need to read about FB41 and meaning its parameters before you can work with them. Your idea to have FC2 call inside OB35 is generally good. I'm pretty much sure you have secured constant cycle time. Do you know what P_SEL and I_SEL mean? Please, read about FB41 first. I suggest you to use it. What are yours protected FB1 and FB2? (These are not FB41) 2) Standard PID control Tool. Still I need someone who knows this controls. Guide me. Dutta

Anyway, you should read and learn from FB41. Is there any help file included in your package? P_SEL, I_SEL and D_SEL basically deermines whether you want P- only control, PI, PID... and so on. Just read help files and look how it's done with FB41 example.
