Drive Alarm/Faults

tomvarker Posts: 33 Rating: (0)	Hello, I am having issues with one of our siemens G120 drives, it has a cu240e profibus drive module. We are coontrolling the drive over profibus, the drive unit stays powered up and in the event of an E-stop the main contactor drops out. Due to the main contactor dropping our and the external supply keeping the drive unit powered i get an alarm due to low DC link voltage. How ever as this is an alarm and not a fault I am having problems with the feedback on our DCS system. Is it possible to change an alarm priority to make it act as a fault? or does anyone have any suggestions. A last resort would be to take a signal from the line contactor and wire it into a spare input on the drive module.

But a possibility would be to use r2129 and an inverting block of the free function blocks to trigger an external fault (e.g. external fault 1; p2106). The alarm number in p2128[x] sets the corresponding bit r2119[x] = 1 when the alarm is present. You have to use an inverting block because of the inverse logic of the external fault parameters.
