I hope I have asked the question in the right place

I use simotion scout with ST and now there are 5 people that working in the same project .

I would like to know if there is a way or a software that allows to archive the versions of one project. In other words a repository for all the versions created of the same project. All this to avoid every time manual merge if someone change some lines of code in the same project.

This also to keep track of all versions and don’t have a folder with each archived version (in the same word more zip. Files.).

I hope that my description is clear.

I started using git to keep tack the modifications in our Siemens simotion project (in particolar inside the ST Language code). In other words I created a git repositiory for our software code.

Has already been considered a repository for who develop software with simotion scout?

Does someone use more advanced archiving kind than simply saving/archiving software versions with a zip file? 

The biggest problem i found in saving the software with zip files is the management of the changes made in particular to keep track of modifications and who makes the modifications.
