Hi,

I have a pc that is running on window 10 and I have installed  SIMATIC WinCC flexible 2008 SP5 onto that computer.

I am using 315-2 PN/DP CPU hardware and for programming software i am using Step 7 ver 5.5

I  aalso using SIMATIC Wincc flexible 2008 SP3 to create the graphic using my laptop and transfer the program onto that PC. When I try running the program on that PC, an error occur with a message of " The data format of the configuration file "my wincc file.fwx" is incompatible. Recompile the configuration file.

I have tried to uninstall the Runtime SP5 and install Runtime SP3 onto the pc. The graphic is running but no data from the PLC. Its like the PC and PLC are not connected at all.

Is there any other way to make the Runtime to be running fine on window 10?

have you check the settings in PG/PC Settings in windows control panel?
Here the networkcard which is connected to the plc must be selected for S7Online access point.

Note:
WinCCflexible 2008 SP3 ist not released for Win10.

Here you should use WinCCflex 2008 SP5, and Update the engineering also from SP3 to SP5 then you can work with the generated files from the engineering PC.
