I installed LSC v8.2 on my pc (i5 8GB / Win10 pro 64b / JRE v8u201) as admin.

When I want to run LSC I shortly see the initial LSC flash screen and then the LSC window opens but closes almost immediately.

The same situation when run as admin, when logged in as admin, with security software disabled, after installing again several times, ...

I have no idea what I can try further on. I didn't find any similar case on this forum.

Has somebody a clue ?

  It is interesting, I use a very same operation system and PC (i5,W10,8Gb) and the lsc 8.2 is working perfectly. Did you try it run in compatibility mode? 

As what NIBOU writes GOD mode is blocking the correct functioning from JAVA.

Also take care all is 64 Bit, it sounds funny but a friend complainend that his version did not work. When i checked his PC setup i found that his JAVA was 32 Bit He needed that for another program. I installed the 64 Bit version as well and like magic all programs worked

I indeed had a God Mode folder. Deleted it (pity because it's an easy way to configure Windows) and LSC works like a charm now. Unbelievable !

@peterakos : I have both 32b and 64b java (fotgot to mention it)

And I agree with you. It is a pity indeed.

 In God mode you have access to all of Window’s control panels, more than 40 of them from within a single folder.
