Hi all

I'm in the process of learning  STL but do have some issues.

I'm trying to build a ladder NW (2) from a STL NW (14) but is in doubt about the significance of my result which deviates from the original STL.

The result of my LADDER utilises JNB but NW 14 is set up with JCN. I believe that my NW2 does the same as NW14 but are not sure though.

I've attached the screen dumps in a pdf file, "STL vs LAD 3"...

The LAD representation suits the purpose of your current use.

The differences in the two JUMP instructions would have mattered if code was to follow the MOVE instruction. Have a look at the document: SIMATIC STEP 7 V5.5 Statement List (STL) for S7-300 and S7-400 Programming for detailed descriptions.

It is an inconvenient question to answer. I have not seen your project.

The answer will apply to all if all uses the same coding style. The problem comes in when there is code also after the jump label. Please consider reading the details on what the jump instructions mean.

Yes of coarse, I'm sorry ...

I did read the jump part and thus realized that  there are different scenarios which will coarse the PLC to act accordingly.

The project I'm working with is huge containing code for several robots and other devices in many FC's and DB's
