Hi guys

I was doing a Project to Control motor of the hydraulic pump which is located on the spreader ( spreader is used on ship to shore cranes to take a container and load or discharge on vessels). Usually spreader hits conteainer hardly and after a couple of such landing I get fault F30017. In workshop Everything works well. I tried SLVC instead of U/F Control but there is Another problem with overspeed. I tried to adjust max speed, ramp time on my G120C PN 7,5 kW but again it works well in workshop but on site it trips.

Do you have any ideas how I can solve it. I can install Equipment only on spreader.

This is going into hardware current limit, which is the ‘current backstop’, not adjustable. If this is being tripped the application may be too agressive for the motor drive combination. Do you have accumulators fitted in the hydraulic circuit, or a bypass system?

Is the inverter drive used for speed control, or pressure regulation?

If the variable speed is not required, a soft starter may be the simplest modification to get you out of this problem.

Assuming that the motor is serviceable, and not creating this fault whilst working under load?

Yes there is no accumulator in the system so oil pressure jumps.

I do not regulate speed, I only use to "positions" 0 or 100 % of nominal motor speed. So actually I use FC as soft starter to rump up and then rump down.

I am going to test soft starter to see how it works.

sorry for late answer ,

I tried to install softstarter on spreader but it did not work because of constant hits.

Any way I got a possibility to install it on the crane and it works wothout problem up there
