chrism01 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Greetings to everyone, I am a beginner in PLC logo and I have a project to run. In the first stage, I want to run this in the Demo software since I don,t have any hardware. Let's say that I have two fluids that I want to mix them with a three-way valve. An analog input for the temperature will be placed. I am assuming that the temperature will drop from 110 to 10 with a linear relation in 40 minutes. During the temperature change, I want to control the 3-way valve to open from 0% to 100%. For example, at temperature 110 the valve to be at position 0% and every 2 minutes to check the temperature and get feedback. If the temperature has been dropped to a specified value 105 I want to add 5% in the position of the valve. I want to repeat this process until the three-way valve will be fully open 100%. Thanks.

The program can be designed that the opening of the valve automatically adapts to the temperature. Then you do not have to start a query every x minutes, but you can constantly compare. For this purpose, the start and end temperature is set. When the start temperature is reached, the process would start.

When i was reading the first question my idea was to use a PI controller setup, for fun i will set it up the next days (i am a little running around now between projects). So my question to IXO is there a reason that you did not use the PI controller function. or was it for you just more easy to setup on this why.

A PI-controller is normally used, e.g. to keep a temperature or pressure relatively constant. Here, the theme starter, which at an initial temperature is the value for the valve 0% and at the final temperature 100%. Its functional description corresponds to a linear course.
