I need report on Laserjet paper and same report in PDF on USB stick for history.

You should print your report to PDF and then you can manually print the PDF File on a laser jet printer. How you get the PDF Printer driver, please refer to the application example No.: 58205602 “Printing with SIMATIC Comfort Panels”.

Did you have success with this Tonko? I'm experiencing the same challenge, I want to print a report on the default printer and print the same report in PDF to USB.

I've tried this using scripts but haven't had much luck. I don't think JRB's response covers what we're trying to achieve, the switch been printers cannot be manually performed.

It seems like there is no way to print to printer and pdf file at the same time.

I have S7-1500 and TP900 with network printer. All connected to the Siemens switch, and client wants print and pdf of the report. Any suggestions.

Hello vagish,

the panel is printing to the standard printer. From my opinion you can't change the standard printer from the panel application, only manually in the panel settings. For operating a machine it is not usable to change the printer manually. So you have to set standard printer to PDF creator and then copy the PDF file to a network computer and print it from there on the laser printer.
