Hello All,

I am using one CU 240E-2 PN Drive  which continuously goes into Fault 8501.

Everything checked :

1) P2040 kept 0 - didnt worked

2) P2040- maximum - didnt worked

3) Profinet cable replaced and check - didnt worked

4) Control word bit is also continuously high  - Bit10

Can anyone suggest what might be any other reason

Also can i try using the option of changing the response of fault to Warning or Alarm??

I mean for F8501 will it create any problem if actually set point doesn't reaches to drive

hardware configuration , telegram and cable is ok. still bus fault iscoming

Maybe you should open a Service Request to be in contact with the drive experts directly. For example we don´t know if you have a SIMATIC PLC or a 3rd party system.

 Yes u r right that PLC is third party PLC (Allen Braley).

Also after changing the control unit to a newer one, same problem persists so even i feel that  PLC side there is a problem. But what can be the issue , i mean configuration is correct + telegram , still 8501 fault is coming
