Hello there,

I am currently trying to access a SIMOTION C240 PN. The goal is to program a test interface for which I need to access and read a Variable on the Device. I thought about using Snap7 as I did before with other Siemens PLC's but it seems like Simotion has a different architecture.

I also tried to figure out the address of certain variables in the memory (e.g. DB) in the Simotion Scout like it was mentioned in another topic (https://support.industry.siemens.com/tf/ww/en/posts/simotion-d4x5-connecting/180144?page=0&pageSize=10) but there is no such information?! 

I'd be thankful for every input on that issue.

I ment the Simotion Tag Address that is showing up in TIA. I'm not able to find it in the Scout but even if I had the Tag Address, how could I access the Variable?

So would you say that it should be possible to communicate through a OPC UA server?
