I am having an error when I try to archive or dearchive a project with Starter. Can you help me out?

Never had this problem with former Starter versions. Now I have a new computer (with Windows 10, Office 365) and I have this issue.

have you check if the path exists which is reported ? (D:\Program Files(x86)....."?
Which settings for Archiving you have active in Step7?

Is 8.3 support enabled or disabled on the system?

The path exists. OK.

I do not have Step7 installed on this computer. I have Starter V5.3.0.1 + DCC_Editor V3.3.0.1

Can I change somewhere archiving settings?

Sorry I do not know what you mean by "8.3 support". Can you explain me a little bit in case it is important?

during Starter install a Step7 OEM is installed.

8.3 mean shortnames  for files /Folders

open a CMD shell and type dir /X d:

please attach a screen of the output here.

OK. Actually the support given by Starter on this error is

"Help on Message 3020:8

To Correct or Avoid Error:

In the SIMATIC Manager inOptions > Customize > Archive, check whether the correct path (exe path) is shown for your preferred archiving program in "Configuring"."

But I do not find SIMATIC Manager on this computer.

looks like the 8.3 support is disabled on the drive b:

this cause the problem with the archiving.

open cmd shell as admin

type

d:

fsutil behavior set disable8dot3 0

fsutil file setshortname "Program Files (x86)" "PROGRA~2"
