ASi Analog via CP342-5

MaverickAGA Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi I am having difficulty configuring my PLC. I have a CPU315-2DP with a CP342-5. The CP342-5 is used to hang a number of link 20E's from. My ASi digitals are working fine, but I'm not sure how read the data from the ASianalog in modules (no analog outs). When moving the bus to the DP on the CPU it works fine, but how do I do the same when working with the CP342-5?

MaverickAGA Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi playerslight I have the manual. SFC59 works fine when using the CPU's onboard DP port. When using the CP342-5, I/O is not directly read/written from/to the module, but via FC1 and FC2. Maybe I am missing something.

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, I am sorry, but I fear you missed nothing. The feature you are looking for is part of the DPV1 specification. The CP 342-5 only supports DPV0. I am sorry but processing of analouge values is not possible with the CP and the Gateway you are about to use. Best regards J_Bell
