Hi.

I'm back to programming PLC since beeing away from this world for about 4,5 years programming ABB Robots. Found a good use for my moderate skills in RAPID-programming and could implement this in SCL-code. I'm not an advanced user of Siemens TIA-portal so bare with me regarding basic knowledge of MC-controls and such as.

On to the question:

I wish to program an automatic car/truck wash and need these functions as follows:

1. Interruption 1, 1st drive (portal) moves until a sensor turn active and maybe by an HW-interrupt register the position "beginning of vechicle", only a position sensor that lets the driver of the vehicle travel into position until green light turns on seems a bit risky.
2. 1st drive (portal) moves until it reaches "beginning of vechicle"+"Safe Distance Length" and then starts "Horisontal Brush" and then moves onward to "Work Distance" and then Interruption 2 starts to elevate "Horistonal Brush" by steps of 500mm through a FOR-loop until either a sensor or "vechile height"+"Safe Distance Height" is reached.
3. Interruption 3, Use of an General Stop as a type of Soft Stop instead of emergency stop on all Technology-Object?. Using an HW-interrupt might be the right way of use to register a Negative Edge when pushbutton is activated and then send "Stop Mode", 1 to all drives in the plant? The question still remains how to program a good reset-sequence of the General Stop. Another HW-interrupt where the GS-pushbutton is registered on Rising Edge and then use MC-RESET on all Technology-object?
