To use a fuse is depending of your application and the used S7-300 module.

e.g.

• to connect a AI-module from a transducer - you don't need a fuse
• use the DO 16 x AC 120/230 V/1 A (6ES7322-1FH00-0AA0) and you can use a fuse to protect your output-module
