Hello!

Iam trying to communicate with Sharp7 and a Siemens LOGO unit (6ED1052-1CC08-0BA0)

Lets view this simple LOGO!Soft example:

[I1]------------------------[Q1]

I have hardware setup containing a button and a diod connected to the LOGO! .. If i push the button, connected to I1, the diod, connected to Q1, turns on.

I can read the states from the VM Adresses on the Input and output:

Input (I1)- VM adress 1024 .0 (0000 0001)
Output (Q1)- VM Adress 1064.0 (0000 0001)

Iam using LOGO!Soft Comfort V8.2.0

Lets say i want to set I1 high, simulate a push on the physical button, through a C# program. I want to set i1 high, with my C# software, on the LOGO! so the diod will light up. But i cant write to 1024.0 :(

I get this log message:

Log : FAILED writing INPUT buffer to LOGO! - CPU : Address out of range

Anyone have any suggestions what iam doing wrong?

As i have understood DB1, database 1, is always used for Siemens LOGO! (0BA0)

If you want to change the state from Q1, then you can do it as follows:

1. Delete the line between I1 and Q1
Then you are able to write to Q1 directly over C#
You also can write to M1-M64 directly, but the left side of the flag must be open.

2. Use an OR block between I1 and Q1 and add a network input NI1 to the OR block
Then you are able to change the status of Q1 with I1 or with NI1.
For NI1 use a local VM adress e.g. V0.0, this is for you the first bit of the DB block.
The addresses V0.0-V0.7, V1.0-V1.7 ... V850.0-V850.7 for bits are usable.
You also can use bytes VBx, words VWx or double words VDx for status bytes, integer values or counter values, but be careful not to overlap the areas. If V0.0 is used, then don't use VB0, VW0 or VD0 at the same time.

Which client do you use for your C# program ?
