Dear guys!

I have a cpu 314c-2PN/DP and a HMI screen KTP700 version for Profibus. Which cable should i use to connect and load programm? Can you give me name, maybe include an image? I have to make a recommendation to my boss to buy, and i dont want to buy wrong cable.

normally should it enough to connect your CPU via Profinet.
Then should the TIA-portal route trough the CPU to the panel.

In my opinion is it not necessary to buy a special cable to download the KTP700.

Please look at the manual to parameterize the transfer (chapter 5.18)

Your CPU has 2 integrated interfaces, one for Profibus-DP, one for Ethernet (Profinet).

Depending on your version of KTP700, it can either connect to your programming PC through Profibus or through Profinet. It would be helpful if you would give us the part number of the HMI panel so we can determine which it is.

If you need to use Profibus for downloads from your programming software, then the CP 5711 adapter has already been proposed by our friend Konstantin_D.

If your connection passes over Ethernet, then normal Ethernet cable (TCP/IP, CAT5) will work.
