Hi All,

I was wondering, is it possible to modify/customize the group display generated for lower picture objects?

When compiling WinCC groupdisplays are generated on the process pictures containing specific information.

These groupdisplays are for example by default not visible to the operator. I want to change that, where can I make this modification so all (new) groupdisplays are containing this modification?

I would also like to adjust the size of them

I don't know if I understand your question. Did you mean the group display in process pictures or in the overview area?

• Group display in the overview area
  The group displays in the overview area provides the plant operator with an overview of the status of the entire plant in process mode. You assemble the messages of the group displays from the lower-level process pictures that belong to this area. The group displays in the overview area are always displayed.
  The group displays in the overview area are displayed by default. This does not require configuration.
  
• Group display in process pictures
  The group display enables you to display the message status of a process tag directly in the process picture. From each group display, the plant operator can switch to other process pictures or faceplates in process mode.
  

The following options are available for the dynamization of a group display in process pictures:

• Interconnecting the group display with a process tag
  You connect the group display to a block in a process tag or control module to enable the display of messages from the assigned block to the plant operator in process mode.
  
• Interconnecting group displays with pictures
  You connect the group display to a picture so that messages from the picture are displayed in process mode.
  
• Picture selection with group display
  You connect the group display to a picture so that if there is an incoming message, the plant operator can switch directly to the picture in which the message was generated. You can use this function for dynamization of a group display and for dynamization of other picture objects.
  

And you can edit the size and the option to display the group display in process pictures.

Thank you for your reaction.
Yes my question is regarding the group display in the process picture.

But I do not want to influence the look and appearance after it is generated.
I want to changes some properties up front.

The reason for this is that I'm importing 1700+ pictures, and I do not want to handle them one by one after I compiled the OS and Picture Tree.

I'm searching for the "default" template/property set of the group displays that is used by the system to generated them.

in this case I would select the default group display in the Standard Object Palette. There you can open the properties and adapt it to your needs. Then you place the changed group display in your pictures and connect it with the Dynamic Wizard in the standard dynamics " Connect group display to picture".

Hi All,

Did some testing and thinking and solved half of my problem.

With the function "Update of the picture objects" I'm able to exchange the group displays with a template. Adjusted some properties of the group display on the picture @CSIG_Template.pdl in combination with the CSIG.cfg file.

This is a more constructive solution then to do it by hand since the number of pictures (over 1700).

The part I did not fix (so far) is the location of the group displays on the pictures. I know the correct position where I want to place them up front. So it would be very nice if some one knows a trick to do this in bulk.
