We have observed an incident where 2 changes within a minute of the same tag did not update the “from” value correct.

Audit log looked like

10:58:35;”Signed tagvalue ‘Gain’ was changed from 10 to 0,933”

11:00:00;”Signed tagvalue ‘Gain’ was changed from 10 to 0,993”

11:01:08;”Signed tagvalue ‘Gain’ was changed from 10 to 0,993”

In line 2 the “from” value should have been 0,933

In line 3 the “from” value should have been 0,993

Have you ever observed anything similar?

The Tag was configured to be an indexed tag storede in a PLC (HMI address DBXX.dbD[address]).

Acquisition time is 1 sec., acquisition mode is Operational.

The tag is checked for GMP logging and that Electronic Signature when changed

The tag is shown in Picture from which the change (with ES) is initiated (I/O field, Mode: Input/output).

I Have tried to re-create above, without success:

No log-entry when a wrong password is used in the Electronic signature.

No log-entry when a “X” (close window) in the Electronic signature popup is used

No log-entry when a “Cancel” in the Electronic signature popup is used

Correct from value when tag changed from 3,0, 4,0, 5,0 to the next value.

Hello Henrik,

how did you change the value of the tag? Was it changed by the PLC or did you change it in an I/O field? Audit Trail only records the values in the latter case.

Thanks for respondig.

The value was changed from the HMI, which which can bee seen from the fact that there is an entry in the audit log. The problem is that the "from" value in the second and 3. line in the audit log is not updated with the value entered on the HMI some 60 seconds before.

The tag is accesabel/displyed whith an I/O fileld (in Mode: Input/Output) on the HMI.
