My question - can the LOGO! display a string value?  I have searched the forum but did not find anything on this question/topic.

Hardware:  LOGO! 8.SF4

Software: 8.2.1

Example:

I am using an up/down counter to select different modes in my project.  User presses a momentary PB to scroll through the different mode levels.

If count = 0 than mode = off

If count = 1 than mode = low

If count = 2 than mode = medium

If count = 3 than mode = high

Logic works but want to make GUI easier for the user.  

On the display I can evaluate the counter value 1, 2, 3

But is there a way to have the display evaluate those numbers as string values “low”, “medium”, “high” without creating a duplicate screen where only those words change?

Thanks ixo65!  

I was aware of that feature but was hoping for a ‘string block’.

Perhaps in a future release we will see that feature available. 

I think for this project I will just make different screens and the ‘mode’ will change the word on the screen.  That way the ‘mode’ will stay in the same place on the display.
