I've been searching in this forum (and also Googling around) for quite a while but couldn't find any info about how to convert a digital input value (0..1000) to an analog output value (0..10V).

Can anyone just give me a hint or put me on the right track please?

I need to control à dimmer (lighting) by the mean of a simple push button.

The lamp is 0..10V controlled.

Do you shortly (<0.5sec) press the button, the light intensity rises step-by-step.

Do you long press the button, the light intensity rises automatically step-by-step each n seconds.

Once maximum brightness is reached, a long press will switch OFF the light and the process will start over at the next button press.
