Connection of a TP1500 HMI to a Company NAS

D-TWO Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hy! I just face the problem, that i need to connect a HMI to a company network in different IP-Ranges, connected vie VLANS. That problem is that they only use a DNS, and no WINS_Server because of end of lifetime and support problems. if i will ping the server by name i always get a complete FQDN adress. with that i cannot connect the share :( Example of my configuration: IP HMI: 143.44.44.49 IP NAS: 143.44.47.49 NAS Name as example: NAS02 if i ping with NAS02 i got back nas02.domain.com The shared folder is on the NAS and located under some subfolders si i woulf need to enter: \\NASNAME\Subfolder1\subfolder2\subfolder3\share\ but Windows CE doesn't allow / works with direct IP and with Names incl. Domain! How can i fix that? Anybody an idea? I think i'm not the only person who face with that problem, especial in IE4.0? BR Daniel

D-TWO Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hy! Thanks, but we normaly work with that, but the Network of that company dont use WINS-Server and the DNS-Server only can translate a name if i add the domain! And Windows CE are not able to mount drives direct via IP or FQDN. :(
