I don't even know WHY is write protected... :1 But it is... so... how do I remove the write protection? Is there a procedure? I have difficulty to find a solution... or an official answer... I don't even know how to write protect an MC, so no clue why it is like that right now... :\ thx!

This is a memory card for s7-1200/1500 PLCs, not for firmware updates, but for loading PLC program logic, or saving datalogs. What task are you attempting to accomplish that says the MC is write protected? It is possible the write protect slider reader is not working on your device. I plugged in a laptop and opened it with TIA PORTAL V13 on the left column. Looking at the properties of the MC it says that it's "write protected" (it's marked the option), so someone of us here, I guess, downloaded the software on this MC crossing the "write protect" option. So... is there a way to free this MC? huggy_d1 What device are you using that says it is write protected? Power off the s7-1200 Install the memory card Power up the s7-1200 Download the project to the s7-1200 Go online with the s7-1200. Use the project tree "online access" and format the memory card if it does not allow you to download your project. Download the project to the s7-1200. Review the ways the memory card is used and can be used for the s7-1200. Installing a memory card into a running s7-1200 does things you probably will not like. That will make more sense after you read the s7-1200 system manual section about the memory card.
