Hi All,

           I have program which is use for Multiple motors. In program its opening the DB and map all respective address to Temp location.   

        From the logic I am not able to understand how they calculate the mapping address of respective parameter. 

    Please help me to understand the program.

Your code is not complete.

The motor memory structure is 12 bytes long.  You need to add all motor structures in DB 4 one by one. The motor data will start from byte no. 0, 12, 24, 36 for next motors.

In FC47, There are Dint registers suffixed PTR are used to store byte no in area internal pointers.

In this pointer, the byte no is stored in LSB left shifted by 3 bit positions. SO adding 16 will increment the byte count by 2.

In second network, the DB data of 12 bytes is copied to local area. . e.g. as follows.

L     DBW [#STATUS_PTR]

T     #STATUS

Missing logic-

1. Motor logic
2. Motor no increment logic.

   I have one more query regarding String Data Type comparison. I have stored 100 string in DB.

When I scan the Bar Code then Bar code string  will compare with 100 of stored string and once same string found in stored DB then it will load respective recipe number.

Please guide me how to achieve this with minimum programming.
