We had a MP 377 panel configured in WinCC Flexible SP1 and this panel died. It was working with a PLC that is configured with PCS7 v7.0 through Profibus connection.

We want to replace the dead MP 377 with a TP1500 Comfort panel and configure it with WinCC TIA v15 SP1. The PLC configuration will remain with PCS7 v 7.0.

What steps do we need to take to move the WinCC project?

Do we have to change the PLC configuration or it is just a plug and play as long the Profibus address is set correct?

Hi,

Steps:

1.) detach the WinCCflex project from the PCS7 project, this option should available in WinccFlex engineering

2.) install TIA V14 SP1 latest Update and migrate the WinCCflex project to TIA V14 SP1

3.) change Device from MP377 to TP1500

4.) open the V14 SP1 project in TIA V15.1 and update the project

5.) change the TP1500 to newest version

6.) create device proxy in the project

7.) initialize the proxy with thew CPU data from PCS7 project

8.) create connection betwwen proxy and hmi

9.) resync the Symbols

Note:
For Migration TIA V14 SP1  should installed on the same system like PCS7 and WinCCflex , or you use the migration tool.

For Proxy TIA V15.1 should be installed on the same System like PCS7 (Step7)

The challenge is I can't run TIA on the same machine that has PCS7 because that machine is on Windows XP which won't take the TIA. Is there a way of doing it externally on different machines?

Hi,

the migration can be performed with the TIA Migration Tool on the old machine, the output can be used on the new Machine with TIA for the Migration.

The proxy need a Step7 install, so i think here you can only try to work with absolute adressing in the hmi and check if this work.

I am not sure I understand.

Our PCS7 configurations are done on the Engineering station. Whereas the configuration for the panel is done on the PG. 

Could you be having a guide that we can follow? That would be very helpful.

"Invalid path for data log 'Alarm" When I compile. The error happens on my PG. The path it complains about regers to the MMC. Do I need to add MMC to the project? And if I do not have the MMC where can I possibly save my logs?

the MP 377 may have logged to CF card. This type is not available for comfort panels. So you may have to check the path for the archives and confirm using e.g. SD card.
