Sorry if this questions has allready bin threded, but I tried to search around with no luck :-( Is it possible for the S7-200 plc to send a sms or email if a sensor is activated? If so, where can I find some info on the subject? And can it be done with cpu 221? Last one what additinoal devices/cables etc are needed for this operation, I mean if I were to be notified by email, is the plc connected to internet via the pc? ( in this way you can't use this type of CPU. ) ( With which SIMATIC S7-200 CPUs can you use the EM241 modem module?) The other way is Micro Automation: Wireless Signalling and Switching per SMS (MAS 5) or Application Example: Reporting System Status via E-mail with CP 243-1 IT (S7-200, CP 243-1 IT and ESM TP40) In each example you'll see how is organized connection... regards
