 Hello Alvconsan, SFC20, blockmove, is available also in s7 classic.

you can do the same thing in S7 V5.6.

maybe just using any parameter format, which you can see in the step 7 help. just press F1 and search for data type >> any

Instead of using symbolic address use this for example P#DB1.DBX0.0 BYTE 10.

If I'm not wrong you're not moving an static address, every time it changes, for example in first time the first integer of the datablock then the second one and so on.

Are you using the same hardware in step7 v5.6 and TIA portal?

As I remember you can do this only for S7-1500 as you have already done.

But if you want tot do this in step7 you can't do it directly in ladder logic but with a little bit use of SCL it's possible.

In TIA is a 1200, in Step 7 is a 315-PN/DP

I've read something about SCL, I've never programmed on step 7 with that, but it seems not difficult. Maybe it's the best option.

Hello again alvconsan, I think with indirect addressing you could build your any pointer, and dynamically address different memory areas. 

just remember to look at the format of Any data type.

I'm not sure if I build the any datatype the right way, has been a lot of time since I don't do it, in TIA portal S7-1500 controllers there is no need to do indirect addressing anymore. or at least is not common as it used to be.

Actually it's not between TIA and Step7, the difference is about S7-300 and S7-1200.

The SCL won't be that hard for you.

You can find a simple example in the attachment that may help you.
