Apologies if this has been covered before, I couldn't find the answer.

Firstly, I only have a TIA Basic licence.

I am working on a project which I have not bought the hardware for yet and I am looking to use a S7-1200 1212C CPU. 

I was also hoping to use an ET200 SP Distributed IO module.

When adding a new device in TIA Portal basic I cannot seem to find the device, Do I need to add this after?

Please provide an article number of  ET200 SP Distributed IO module which you are trying to add in hardware.

The article number I was looking at is 6ES7 151-3AA23-0AB0. as the profinet interface module and 6ES7 131-4BF00-0AA0 DI Module.

These are not listed in the device list when trying to add, and I cannot type the article number in on the right as the box is greyed out.

I am currently running Tia Portal V13 and is updated. I have ordered the V16 basic upgrade.

all distributed I/O devices connected to some Master device are available in Network view to add. In other side, your Topic name is about SP family but order numbers are ET200S family so hope you understand what you need exactly.
