I am setting up a spool motor drive to run under torque control, and this is my first attempt. I have looked into the tension control and winder control application and was not successful with those directions. 

I now have the technology controller set up with the status word of the dancer position feedback, set points routed through my prof drive telegram. This is functional, or so it seems. I am able to set OFF1 and the Enable bits to the drive module to get it to initialize and can see the variables change in the function charts of StartDrive V16. This appears to be working.

The technology controller output is set to p1511(0), Supplementary Torque 1, and I can see the torque values increase when the the enables are set.

The problem I am not able to find a solution to is this;

when the spool is stopped and OFF1, TC enable, drive enable, and torque control enable are set to high status the spool moves very slightly (about 20% of a rotation) and stalls. Then I see a fault F07411: Drive: Flux Controller output limited. The remedies in the help file do not seem to relevant to what is happening. If I release the bit and then enable the bit again the motor will start spinning under torque control as though it required a higher initial set point to start rotation.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what I have not done correctly or if I have missed an important step in setting up to start the drive in torque control based on the technology controller set point? Which parameter set would apply to correcting this and how should I approach getting them set up correctly?

 I already explained that these were used and not useful. Those applications using DCC require an additional license, and don't work that well, especially where the diameter calculator is needed. That part doesn't work well at all.

So, that being said. I figured this out, no thanks to local distributors or to SIemens tech support. You guys should figure out a better tech support structure, when these components are constantly changing and their cost is higher than that of all of your competitors in the USA.

As a DCC license holder and infrequent, hesitant and very inefficient DCC programmer, I completely agree regarding the DCC license requirements, especially requiring a DCC license even to use the normal parts of Starter to work on a Siemens drive.  

That said, how did you end up solving the problems you were having?
