Hi everyone!

I am currently trying to upgrade a projectfrom WinCC v5.x to WinCC v6.2. I have installed WinCC v6.2 in my system and I have already solved the common error with Sybase 7.
When I start the Project Migrator I receivethis error:

ERROR: Project version can not be read.
function CDataSource.OpenFromInitializationString("Provider=MSDASQL;Persist Security Info=False;Data Source=WinCC_CS") failed. hr=0x80004005

So, my questions are:

1.- First of all, I´m not quite sure in which version was this project programmed; howcan Icheck in my files which version this is?

2.- Assuming the version is v 5.1, why am I receiving this error?

to WinCC v 51 sp2 and I am now attempting to migrate the project to WinCC v62. The problem is that when I try to initialize the CCMigration tool, I receive an error indicating Sybase 7 has failed to start. I have verified the current user is part of the HMI CS group.

What am I missing here?

After few days reading lot of Manuals, FAQ's, installing in several virtual machines different versions of WinCC and so on, I finally realized that the guy who did the backup of this project, didn't do it properly Nice, don't you think?

I don´t know exactly what he did, but it´s clear I should get I new one.
