We have recently purchased a second hand 6RA24 SIMOREG Converter with an 6SE1200-7AA10-3 Operating Panel.

1. The first problem that we are facing is a language issue. Could any of you tell me how to set the language of the operating panel to English ? What parameter and access level do we need to change for this purpose ?

2. Could you also guide me on how to go online with the converter. We are not being able to establish communication using Drive Monitor Software. 

Help in this regard would be appreciated.

I don't remember different languages in 6ra24 (SIMOREG K).

Are you sure you have a 6ra24?? What order code do you have??

Here the manual for 6RA24.

Software for 6ra24 was SIMOVIS.

Also with Drivemonitor it is possible to connect with 6ra24 but with some limitation

The attachment is the readme file for Drivemonitor sw. In cap.5.1 you can find some useful info.

Just had the same issue myself.

The answer is in section 2.2 of the 6RA24  manual "Ordering information for options using codes".

The firmware has to be ordered for the language you wish to use for the operator panel.  For example 6RX1240-0AS76 for English.  I believe Siemens standard supply is German 6RX1240-0AS00. 

The manual states this is only required for the operator interface panel.
