Hi, i am wondering if there is a way to take the same Function Block and create seperate windows so i can monitor them side-by-side and check the online values in seperate networks of the same FB/FC simultaneously.

NOTE: the file is photoshopped to represent what i want to be able to do.

I do not know the answer, but it may be helpful if you mention which version of Step7 V5.x you have.

Guessing.. I assume you wish to see multiple instances of the same FB - right? Consider navigating to where the instance is called and ask for "open and monitor". I  think  only the active code view will update the online status.

Hi, the version is V5.5+SP4+HF8 (however if possible i would like to be able to do this on all Siemens Programs e.g Tia-Portal and so on)

Ok i tried that way but it does the same operation as you would if you open from Simatic Manager in list view ie: if you have it open it will open that one and start monitoring. and if you already have it monitored it will open that window instead. cant find a way to open 2 windows of same FC/FB

I also tried opening via a backup-version on the PLC where the FB in question is exactly the same but the Client Viewer is to smart so it recognizes that it is exactly the same and does not allow a new window to be opened
