How logo operates to startup the power generator ?

Logo RC-230 can automatically starts power generator during utility power supply failure, but Logo itself need 115v-220v then incase on utility power failure how logo operates to startup the power generator ? I will be thankful for anyone help me in this regard, please !

hamzasiemens Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	Thanks for your assistance , but i want to ask that instead of using UPS, if i use LOGO 12/24RC and use 12 volt battery for operating it, is this will be better ? Becoz using UPS or microset will be very costly. So i have designed AMF and ATS myself and i need to operate it using LOGO! as by using logo i am monitoring the parameters of genset i.e Oil, pressure , temperature. LOGO itself can be used as AMF & ATS as it have 4 relays, so how can i use logo as AMF & ATS ?.

cdrshort Bronze Member Joined: 9/6/2008 Last visit: 3/29/2024 Posts: 134 Rating: (16)	if you use a ups only for logo it will cost 50-60 euro if use 12 or 24 dc batery then the batery must be a separate one only for logo supply. because if you have the same battery for generator and logo you willhave a bigvoltage drop during the start of the generator ( the electrical starter or the preheater consums a lot of curent). you also have to desing a separate charging circuit for the separate battery. all this makes the system some kind complex perhaps more expencive and with a lot of problems . for me the best and most economikal solution is to use a ups . at the link that i give in my last post you will find a program for diesel control that making the start up and control most of the cases of an diesel engine .( oil presure , water temperature, altenator ,cylinder head temperature ,brake of water pump belt ). best luck

In compbination with the battery It is a kind of ups for dc. I dont remember how much does it cost. I like the fact that it is relativle small and it can be mounted in a small cambinet.

Regarding your program of Diesel generator i checkout and tried it , thanks for that was very helpful. But the microset29 for Automatic start of generator i cant use that becoz instead of that i will try AMF and ATS with relays ad timers it is cheaper and simple as well. God beless you ...

They have 230V AC as input and output 12V DC. 2) In the same time, they work as battery chargers. They charge a battery. The battery is standby. If there is a power fault (not any more 230V AC at the input of the device) the device use the battery and still has 12V DC at the output. The device has a terminal for the output voltage (12V DC) and a terminal for wiring the battery.
