My Precedent request from March disappear without answer.

My Problem with your block is that there is no separate field for function Code.

As i understood, the function code is made dependinq the register address enteres.

If adress is 30001 it mean code function 3 read input register.

So I would like to know if you have opened your block or made another MBMAReq block with one more field for function code and without checking the adress area.

Yes, you can use it with FB35 or FB34

So New FB11 MBMAQRY Block is working now with my CP341.

First it was not working cause i didn't create new instance block of FB35, so the LINK was with the same value which was used with FB10 MBMAREQ.

Now I can read address Hex 'C550' with function code 3 from my slaves modbus

I see so many thankful users here regarding your self made library for using modbus RTU master without dongle, your this hard work is definitely appreciable . After that I also try my best to use this library but nothing fruitful. I am using CP341 RS 422/485. The TX light at CP is blinking but RX light is not blinking. I have taken all troubleshooting actions that you have suggest in your manual and at this forum. But not a single action will help me to overcome that issue. I would like to take this opportunity and provide you with the fruits of my software development on Modbus RTU Master Communication function blocks over the past years. The function blocks are running on S7-300, S7-400 and S7-400H CPU’s and do not require any additional hardware dongle to be purchased and inserted into the communication processor module. First of all I am really very very thankful for your quick response. I have no words to show my expressions I am really in great trouble these days 

Now come towards the problem that I am facing from last 7 days. I am trying to communicate Shinko controller DCL 33A with my PLC. I use pin 4,8 and 11 of CP341 RS422/RS485 and 1(COM), 3 and 4 of Shinko Controller (The manual of controller is also in the attachment, the important points that I used is also highlighted). I also swap the wire many times but it proved not fruitful for me.

Before Swap:

Pin 4 (CP341) with Pin 3 (Shinko controller)

Pin 11 (CP341) with Pin 4 (Shinko Controller)

Pin 8 (CP341) with Pin 1 (Shinko Controller)

After Swap:

Pin 4 (CP341) with Pin 4 (Shinko controller)

Pin 11 (CP341) with Pin 3 (Shinko Controller)

Pin 8 (CP341) with Pin 1 (Shinko Controller)

Note : I also try to use master - salve without GROUND, in short I try to use almost all options regarding WIRING point of view but no results.  Also verified the cable multiple times by mean of DMM (Digital Multimeter)

One more thing is also very interesting; whenever i follow AFTER SWAP wire connection both TX and RX light blinks but when we power OFF - ON the CPU the CP goes to fault mode and red SF light shows on the CP. So I am sure AFTER SWAP wiring option  is not the correct one.

I was really stuck at that problem and no one believe that communication of CP341 is possible without DONGLE but your hard work and very quick, humble and kind response make it possible and very easy. I used your example program MBMA341 some time ago. It’s really good; it was very helpful for me.

Last week I tried to use it again to communicate with a flowmeter, but for this time it doesn’t work. I replace flowmeter with a Modbus emulator installed on the PC and I could see that communication running very well.

When I ask flowmeter provider about this issue, he said that for access data from 42011 (2 registers) his device is waiting for tram:  01 03A4 1B00 02 97 3C.

He checked received tram and it was:  01 0307 DA00 02 E4 84 the same which I found in your instance DB (SEND_BUFFER[0] …).

If I take into consideration theory of Modbus, tram 01 03 07 DA 00 02 E4 84 is the good one; calculated from base 40001 + offset 2010 (start address07 DA).

However, tram 01 03 A4 1B 00 02 97 3C is good too, for some equipment: start address 42011 (A4 1B).

What can I do, because dongle is more expensive then flowmeter? Do you intend to build an example also for extended modbus protocol?

I have seen that you have done a program which help you to use CP 341 without Dongle, and all people is satisfied, but i haven't found the version for TIA portal V15, can you please send to me.

I have to use CP341 as MODBUS MASTER with slaves who works with modbus RTU, the slave is a digital meter who must send to the master the voltage and the current, but when buying the CP 341 i have no idea for the Dongle.

I am waiting your help.
