I have the same problem but with Software version 8.4.

Today I have replaced my old OBA7 blocks with the new 8.4.
I have changed the IP-addresses of all blocks as it was before. I have re-added the 2 slaves as new 8.4 slaves. They are all connected correctly, as you can see in the screenshot attached.

Everything that is linked to the first block (master) works as expected.
But everything that is linked to the 2 slaves doesn't work. The Network Input doesn't trigger. I have tested this by simulating an online test (I pressed the switch myself). I don't really know how I can simulate the "click" from the software.

The checkbox "Allow S7 access" is checked.
I have a hard time figuring out this one. Maybe you have any idea?

Hm ok.

I can open it on my Macbook in version 8.4.0. Maybe that's the issue? (Mac)
Weird. I'll try to close and re-open it myself.

I have closed LCS 8.4, re-opened it.
Browsed my files and opened this .SNP file.

The extension is the same for you? SNP? Maybe I need to export it to something else.
I'll have another check.

Yes, I have added the "LOGO! 8.4 Slave".
I have selected in the screenshot attached.

I have added the 2 slaves and then I have moved everything from the old OBA7 slaves to the new ones. Then I have deleted the old OBA7 slaves.

You can see the "Device type" is set to "LOGO! 8.4 Slave" when you open the properties of a Network Input.

So that should be okay I guess.

Maybe I have something new.

When I go to the displays of the PLC, I see two "errors" when I go to Diagnostics -> Software -> Data Connection

On Master I get this message:

01. S7 Client State: Disconnected
Rem. IP: 192.168.001.102 (102 is the second Slave)

On the 2 slaves I get this message:

01. Slave server State: Disconnected
Rem. IP: 000.000.000.000

Can this be a wiring issue ?

But previously with my 0BA7 blocks, it was configured exactly the same and it worked.

The reason why I use master/slave is in my mind it was like this:
- 1 master that will have the configuration / diagram
- 2 slaves will just listen to that master
- I only need to update the master since the slaves will listen to the master

I needed extra I's and Q's and that's how we did it many years ago. I don't know if this was the best solution.

But to comprehend your suggestion.
You would change the master / slave into a master / master solution. So all would be a master? Now I have only 1 diagram built into the current master. I find this easier as it is all visible straight away. But then I would need to slice the diagram into pieces I think? So every master would have his own diagram?

I forgot one thing. If I read your answer correctly, my 2 slaves don't work because my master is giving that S7 Client Disconnected error? Is that correct?

But my master is working correctly, as all lights connected to it works as expected. I don't know why he gives this message. I toggled the Checkbox "Allow S7 access" in the offline settings. Actually, I also checked the "Modbus access" to be sure. As you can see in attached screenshot.

But I would rather try to fix that S7 problem. Then everything should work as before I think.
I don't know where that S7 problem is coming from. I also don't know how to debug this.

If I still have this problem tonight, I will try the master / master solution.
