I have tuned the pid, but now i am facing problem a smentioned below: I want to limit output values (both high and low) like high at 70% and low at 30%. How can I do this un PID COMPACT block. In configuration , i can see Output value limits but I can't change low limit above 0.0 what else can be done to get these things? please explain me. thanks, shailesh

Last week i had your same problem: raise the low output limit above 0% on a PID compact (v1.2). At the moment isn't possible. I solved the problem switching when necessary the PID in MANUAL MODE: if the output signal is lower than my lower limit the PLC switches the PID in Manual mode and force my lower limit. If not, it turns back in Automatic mode. All datas calculated by PID Compact can be found inside the instance DB of the PID itselfs. This is not a clean job and i don't understand why Siemens limited the range of this parameter, but nobody suggest me better alternatives. Hoping to be helpful, bye.
