muellin Posts: 16 Rating: (1)	Hi all, I have a problem trying to open a wincc project in a remote machine, and also when I download changes. In both cases this message appear at the begining: "The configured server is not avaliable. Do you want to open the project with the local computer as a server?" I'm confused because if I "download the entire WinCC project" there is no problem. So, the server is there and I comunicate with it. (Engineering station) Thanks in advance

No Name Posts: 220 Rating: (11)	Open your OS and change the computername in the WinCC Editor to the name of the computername, which is running the OS. Just got a better idea. You can change it in Netpro aswell.

If you use an single station the name of the ES is the name of the WinCC. But normaly you have the seperate ES and OS. So if you create the OS project on the ES WinCC memorize the name of the ES. At the load of the OS-Server WinCC will change the memorize PC name in the name which you give the OS PC station on the ES. Is that not exactly the same name as you configured in the OS Server you will get every start of the OS the message, that the configured server is not available.
