We have Pfeiffer TPG366 controller with serial interface. I have put serial to ethernet converter. I can read data in my computer. 

But i would like to read vacuum data directly on S7-300 CPU 315 over ethernet.

Is there any general GSD available to read data from TPG366 with setting ethernet address send serial command and get response read data?

What kind of protocol is supported by the Ethernet interface you are planning to use?

At minimum a catalog number, a link to a communication manual for this interface or any other useful information would be required for us to be able to helps you out.

This would allow us to see how the interface works, determine if and how the PLC is able to communicate with it directly or if some kind of gateway is needed.

if the pfeiffer hav a natice ethernet connector which support PROFINET the yes.

but you use a converter, so no.

TPG366 doesn't have Ethernet connection.

I have used RS232 to ethernet converter.  But i have to send ascii command to read the channel value and in response TPG366 device provide the value.
