We have basically the similar problem mentioned above.
We are doing on some modification on existing part of the automation production line. Thats why we are using TIA portal V13 SP1 Upd4 (unfortunately).
For the control the drives we are using SINAMICS G120D CU250D-2 PN-F. We configured this drives and drives are working well, but still
getting an alarm "7496 - EPOS: Enable not possible".Firmware used for freq. converter is V4_7_HF 11 which correspond with firmware number V04.70.35

In connection with this alarm Siemens released some firmware repair and restriction pdf document (see attachment below). There is mentioned that
problem with alarm A07496 (TFS311558) was solved (corrected) with firmware V4_7_HF11.

My opinian (in fact) is that problem with alarm message A07496 (TFS311558) still persists (was not solved with firmware V4_7_HF11).
For SW modification we are using customer standard software (used for all customer production lines => we cannot change it). In the sw logic for the controlling the drive (freq. inverter) the enable signal is permanent "log.1" if no interlocks are active. Traversing signal is activated only when we want to positioning (changing the position). If I understand well this control logic (mentioned above) will invoke alarm A07496 for the freq. converter with firmware V4_7 HF8, but should be corrected in firmware version V4_7_HF11.

When we try to change the SW logic for controling the drive (just for testing purpose), means first we set the signal for traversing and than set the enable bit, it works well and no alarm appear. But this is not solution for me (cannot change the customer standard blocks).

These things drive me crazy, any idea what to do or check next?

Is there anyone else who has/had the same problem?

   I had tested firmware version 4.7 HF11 (Internal version ID V04.70.35.24), and also had tested firmware version 4.7 SP6 HF5 (Internal version ID V04.70.83.19) neither one works well. I´m still getting Alarm 7496 EPOS: Enable not possible.

   I cannot use siemens control logic block (SinaPos for controlling Basic Positioner) because of my customer standardization (customer has their own block).

   Customer already operates with couple of Sinamics freq. converters G120 CU250D, which where put into operation aprox. two years back and everything is OK (no alarm like 7496  is appearing).

  Now we are adding  two new one G120 CU250D (ordered and bought in 2019) and getting this alarm!!!

For our purpose it  is still not working.

Any other idea?

Anyone found a solution to suppress this message?
