Hello! I am working on a PLC panel consisting of the following:

ET200SP Standalone PLC (6ES7510-1DJ01-0AB0)

HMI (6AV2123-2DB03-0AX0)

Aswell as I/O modules: DI, DQ, AI, AQ.

I was wondering about the correct way to protect my PLC, HMI and I/O potential group. I want to protect these but I'm not sure what size fuses to get. I.e the PLC has a current rating of 0.9A but an inrush current of 4,7A. What size circuit breaker should I get for it? and is it necessary to use one or can I wire the PLC directly from the supply?

FYI the PLC panel will only be used for learning purposes and not actually in the fields.. but I still want to make a good panel.

better you put fuse 1 /  2 A for PLC and separate the power every module with fuse also put the ground cable in the din rail, and connected to ground rod in your house / office

Is it truly any safer to fuse the PLC when it already has internal short-circuit and overload protection? or is the only purpose of fusing to make fault searching easier?

The fuse will blow up first before the overload current going to PLC so it's will protect your PLC, many my projects using fuse for the PLC for protection if you want limit the current better using MCB that for DC applications after output from PSU 

I plan on protecting a few base units (I/Os), with a digital input card and a analog input card that clicks into it. I want a single glass fuse for the protection.

Can  I send you the base units and I/Os that click onto it and maybe you can help me out figure out what glass fuse to use?
