Hello,
if I will be at your side, I'll do this thing what I see better and somehow correct. In place of cut I set on both sides PB connectors, one with PG socket and connect sides together. |

Hello Engs7s; Basically, any change in cable capacitance will make Profibus transmissions difficut and untrustworthy. And there is a great risk of modifying the cable capacitance at the soldering or welding point. The elementary recommendation from Profibus International (PI) would be to run another length of Pofibus cable, to re-establish a consistent connection between Profibus nodes,.
