Hello all,

Is it possible to change a 151-7 profibus ET200S CPU to a 1512 ET200SP PN cpu with profibus communication module?

The remote I/O is also ET200S.

When migrating I have problems with the output modules 4HB10.

Is it possible to set up a new configuration in Tia Portal with the new CPU and use gsd files for the existing remote I/O?

Hi,

you can´t change a IM151-7 PLC to ET200SP automatically - you must project this new ET200SP PLC (with new modules, base units, servermodule). Old IM151-7 PLC can be used as I-Slave with Profibus.

So generate GSD File of your transfer areas in TIA.

I know it cannot be changed automatically. I was thinking of removing the old CPU with attached I/O from the system and insert the new CPU with attached I/O. And then reuse the old remote I/O.

But I don't really know how to accomplish this.

I migrated the program to Tia portal, and now I would like to set up the hardware.

But the old hardware is not available in Tia Portal. Is it possible to use the IM151-1 gsd files to set up the old hardware in Tia Portal? Because with this installed gsd files the old hardware is avaiable as GSD. But I have no idea how to set it up.

If the old hardware is compatible with the TIA version you are using and is not available, then you have to install HSP.

Support Packages for the hardware catalog in the TIA Portal (HSP)

And to check compatibility, use the compatibility tool :
