Hello every one, 

I have power module " 6ES7 138-4ac01-0aa0 ", I have many of this module in the field and need to order stock of it, but this Module is obsoleted and I need alternative for this Module.

Can I use any power module instead of this module ? 

If I can use alternative module, Must change its hardware configuration in program and download program again?

If must change HW configuration, in this case I need update version of software?

First, look at the screenhot below, showing the present commercial status of the ET 200S E-PM 6ES7138-4CA01-0AA0 (notice the corrected part number) you meed for your installations.

Next, read this announcement of product phase-out for the ET 200S family, in this document:

For your situation, the important information is quoted here:

"Explanation of milestones during the phase-out phase

• Announcement of product phase-out (PM400)
  - Components up to and including PM400 are available without restrictions as a new part
  - The product discontinuation (see PM490) will not take place before expiration of a 10-year period following PM400
  
  
• Type cancellation (PM410)
  - Components from PM410 are only available as a spare part
  
  
• Product discontinuation (PM490)
  - Components from PM490 can no longer be ordered. Exception are warranty cases"
  

This gves you 9 more years to continue purchasing and working with ET 200S systems during which you will have to plan replacing them with a newer remote I/O system, such as ET 200SP, or maybe a new offering by Siemens. This will mean a new hardware configuration of course, or perhaps a change of version of TIA Portal, who knows what will be available in 9 years?.
