Make sure that the user you are configuring is not assigned the HMI Monitor Client role. This is a common mistake. Remember that you will have to overwrite the configuration during the download.

Yes Stefan is right.

You can also see the Monitor Client Role in your  screenshot, Its the coloured frame around the whole screen. This indicates that your Runtime User has only the monitor rights.

I also had this "problem" in the past in my first project with WinCC Unified

Please provide more details about your problem.

• What versions of software are you running?
• What devices are configured and what is the configured device version?
• What PLC is connected?
• Are all tags affected by the problem or just some?
• Please provide some screenshots of your problem, including your user configuration.
• Please make sure that you have selected "Reset to Start Values" for the "Runtime Values" during the download.

do you use the default role "HMI Administrator" or do you have created a new one? (because you write HMI administrator  with a small "a") Check in security settings -> User and roles if you do not have activated the "Activate HMI Monitor Client"

Hi Kalaidhanu,

Do not use the HMI Monitor Client role.

"HMI Monitor Client" role

A user who is assigned the "HMI Monitor Client" role or the "Enable HMI Monitor Client" function right contained in the role cannot make any changes or write operations in the processes, regardless of other assigned roles and function rights.

Be sure to select the user data to be overwritten in the Load Preview dialog box when changing some of the user role settings.
