Look in the System tags for the @ and locate the connection and "_PLC_OpState" value 8 is run PLC The status is for lost communication and PLC in stop. Good luck. The problem of using this tag is it will only pop up if the plc goes from run state to stop state. But if a ethernet cable is broken between the HMI and PLC it does not trigger. What needs to be done for that kind of event?

rdoliveira Gold Expert Joined: 4/26/2012 Last visit: 9/4/2025 Posts: 1645 Rating: (190)	Hello, exactly as mentioned previously, you would have to test the connection with a PLC address to differentiate between a removed cable and a stop. You can use the System diagnostics control to view this as well. Reading the operating state of an S7-1200/1500 LINK remembering that it is the operating state of an S7-1200/1500 that the tag delivers Good luck.
